![]() Ludwig van Beethoven Saturday 24th May, 8.00pm, Sunday 25th May, 2.30pm Ravenswood Centenary Centre Auditorium, Henry St, Gordon Beethoven's uplifting Symphony No 7 is considered by many as the most beautiful of his symphonies, with its soaring melodies and incessant, driving rhythms. Elgar's much loved Cello Concerto is a cornerstone of the cello repertoire and a work Elgar himself recognised as destined to endure, commenting to a friend "If after I'm dead, you hear someone whistling this tune, don't be alarmed. It's only me." Finally, KPO is pleased to present the first public performance of Poles Apart by Melbourne based composer Lorenzo Alvaro.
